Description
Dash8 Air Intake
Dash8 Air Intake, we have 2 in stock. Not entirely sure what purpose these could serve but having said that they are very cool indeed.
I wondered about them being the housing for a projector? Mounted on the ceiling with the projector inside they would make a fantastic feature in a home cinema. Sometimes these items don’t need a purpose, they’re just a talking point hanging on the wall and looking amazing?
The Dash8 was made by De Havilland for Flybe who then went into administration. It was a 60+ seat commercial airline for domestic and European short-hall customers.
We also have lots more of the Dash8 including the main fuselage body sections we have for sale, we have the rest of the plane if you’d like more including the cabin and tail sections. The body section is 5.5m long and approx. 2.5m tall with a hollow interior as most of the electrics and interiors have been stripped out ready for conversion. There are currently no windows or doors included with this section of Dash8 fuselage.
Priced individually, we have 2 available
Approx Measurements
– 200 cm long x 90 cm wide and when lying down each air intake is ~50cm off heigh from the ground
Approx weight
-80kgs but awkward to lift
GB Salvage offer a wide range of plane parts both to be converted and already converted and ready for use. You’ll find a diverse range of parts we’ve sourced from retired planes all across the UK and Europe. We find and buy aeroplane parts with the full intention of turning them into amazing pieces of furniture and lighting. Having only limited space and time we have to part with some great pieces. So here you’ll find components and muddy puddle finds right up to stunning finished furniture.
There’s almost no limit to the imagination when it comes to making use of parts of old planes. These days it’s all about unique and daring ideas and oversized industrial furniture. A few years ago a piece of aircraft fuselage wall art was really only for a board room or reception area, now it’s all the fashion at home. Even Taylor Swift was chopping up a plane in her latest music video.
