Plane Turbine Ring – 92cm
Plane turbine ring – ready to be converted into a large mirror or industrial clock. This was once a part of a very large aeroplane engine or turbine and could now house an impressive lit mirror. We’ve also sold one of these with an all glass centre rather than being backlit.
We offer a wide range of different mirrors, most of which can be offered in three different styles.
1) With backlighting and an opaque ring (for use in bathrooms) thesee can be hard wired into a lighting circuit or offered with a motion sensing option for automatic switching if preferred.
2) With simple mirror glass for use as a decorative piece around the home for example.
3) With two layers of glass and a LED lighting between the two in order to create a beautiful and interesting ‘infinity mirror’ look. This is often our preferred option simply as it makes the most out of what we feel are industrial and plane parts that deserve to be made into real features. Again we can add a hand motion or motion sensing operation if needed but normally as a ‘feature’ clients will want them hard wired back to a switch.

Our aim at GB Salvage is to create stunning industrial furniture made with parts from planes, boats, subs and heavy industry. This aim inevitably means we buy a lot of stock that is very time consuming and costly to convert into finished furniture. Therefore in this category you will find parts and components. You can then ask us to convert these items for you or we’ll happily help you do it. Alongside rusty parts we haven’t yet had time to convert, you’ll also find our finished projects. A range of military parts sourced from the MOD ranging from a small cog right up to missile bases, bombs and 6m long fuel tanks. And we also specialise in modern era militaria but do have the odd antique gunsight for example on offer.
We convert and restore every item we can but occasionally have to offer our components for sale to generate space. Therefore in this section you’ll find items we haven’t yet got to.
